Ping and server distance
The lowest possible latency to a server based on distance, and what your ping means in frames.
How it works
Light in fibre travels about 200 km per millisecond. Minimum ping ≈ 2 × distance / 200 (round trip). The rest comes from routing, Wi-Fi and servers.

Worked example
With the default values:
- Distance to server (km)800
- Your measured ping (ms)38
- Your FPS144
you get:
- Theoretical minimum ping8 ms
- Your ping in frames5.5 frames at 144 FPS
- Overhead (routing, Wi-Fi, server)30 ms
